Metric Surveying continued our longstanding relationship with Oxcon to assist with the Jubilee Bridge project.
We combined UAV, TLS and conventional survey methodologies to provide data to support the design and construction methodology planning and development. along with setout of the new structure piers, foundations and for fabrication and assembly of the new struture
The original bridge – previously called the Jubilee Bridge – was built in 1984 and had been out of service since July 2023, as it had reached the end of its lifespan.
The new replacement bridge was assembled offsite at Pakuranga Road, and was transported and lifted onto site in late December 2024 via a 600-tonne crane, one of the largest mobile cranes in the country.
